The Trinity House, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Human Services Organization. The Mission of The Trinity House is to provide transitional housing in San Diego to underserved individuals and families in need, and to coordinate successful re-integration of residents into the community by promoting a positive transformation of their lives..
Established in July 2005, The Trinity House is not aligned with any organization or sect. At The Trinity House we assist individuals and their children affected by or at risk of homelessness. We operate our primary transitional shelter with 16 beds, and have a direct link to one other residential facility, for a total of 32 beds. Sadly, we receive over 1,000 calls annually from individuals and families desperate for shelter so all too often these overflow residences are full.
The Trinity House effectively reaches and serves the human casualties of our dismal local economy in a pro-active way that prevents individuals from descending further into more dire circumstances, such as living on the streets or in their car. We have the capacity to serve clients with multiple, complicated service needs and as of June, 2011 The Trinity House assisted nearly 350 adults and 250 children avoid homelessness.
