Before I came to The Trinity House I resided in a residential program. After a bitter break-up with my fiancé I was on my own. At that time I was 7 ½ months pregnant. The Trinity House was 1 of 2 places that I could go to live with my baby. I arrived at The Trinity House in March of this year.
Since moving here I’ve maintained a job and sobriety. I graduated from Drug Court in September, 2007. This is a huge accomplishment as drug court is probably the hardest program in the city. The Trinity House has helped me maintain a good environment.
I have am extremely grateful to The Trinity House because since The Trinity House is a non profit organization I was able to get the assistance of an attorney pro-bono. This was huge as I really needed help with my child support and custody case. If it hadn’t been for The Trinity, I may have been taken advantage of due to the fact that I would not have had the adequate representation of an attorney for my case.
I have since transitioned into my own apartment. My goals are to continue to work hard and to go back to school to complete my education.
